Josephine Michaelson's Obituary
Born December 19, 1916 at home in Cooperstown, Michigan, by a doctor who arrived in a horse drawn carriage on a cold snowy day, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2010. Married to James Paul Michaelson for over 50 years until his passing 5 years ago. They met in Los Angeles, California, moved to Virginia where she had 3 children, John Oliver Michaelson of Stamford, CT, Jeffrey Elon Michaelson, of La Jolla, CA, and Paul James Michaelson who passed a few months after birth. She was the rock of the Michaelson family who showed love in all ways humanly possible. She moved with her family to Rialto, CA in 1952 and remained a resident until her passing. She worked tirelessly with the Women’s Club of Rialto, finding passion donating her time with the ‘Well Baby Clinic’ to help those most in need. In addition to her two children, she is survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, Michiko, and the caregivers at the twilight of her life, especially Lorena. She will truly be missed.
