Steven Wayne Leverette
On behalf of our mother I wanted to thank everyone who came to Mom's visitation and also those who came to her graveside services as she was laid to rest with our father Ruben C Leverette at Riverside National Cemetery on December 5th 2017. The last five years of mom's life had been very difficult for her but those of her friends I knew her well, new that Mom based a lot of adversities growing up during World War II in Europe as a young nursing student. The most important thing that are mother wanted when the Lord took her home she said, was that she be laid to rest with the love of her life and our father, Ruben C Leverette, who had passed away in July of 1979. Mom didn't want a big thing made about her passing, mom told me when she would attend Christian fellowship with me at her favorite place, The Packinghouse Christian Fellowship and Redlands California she said she didn't want a big thing made out of it when she passed or when Jesus took her home? So that's what my big sister and I did. We kept it small and the people that were the closest to Mom were there and a lot of the other people that new mom had either one before her to heaven or had moved out of the area. And I wanted to thank on behalf of our mother everyone I mean everyone who sent flowers cards and those who took the time to come come on visitation and to the graveside service. It affected all of us in the family differently. My big brother and in Florida was unable to attend with his wife due to health reasons and I'm sure that broke his heart because Ralph really loved mama with all of his heart. Linda our big sister, well Linda has always held everything together in the family from the time our father passed away in 1979 and I'm sure that when mom passed, I can see the pain in her eyes but I know that my sister has the Lord in her heart. But again I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that attended the visitation on behalf of mom she loved all of you you are special to her she loved all of her children the same she loved all of her grandchildren with all of her heart and she was so proud of her great-grandchildren I don't have enough room here to express what it was like to see her smile when she would see pictures of them. I'm sorry that thank you cards did not get sent out to everyone there was some confusion between my big sis and I it was pretty hard for both of us. But I personally wanted to thank dr. Timothy McNaughton of Redlands Community Hospital Emergency Department and Doctor Rivera who took care of our mother when she went to be home with the Lord on the 20th of November as my niece Patricia held our mother's hand on one side and I held her hand on the other. It would have meant so much to Mom for everything that you did for her while she was here on Earth, and just for being there russ kids, our grandchildren and her great-grandchildren that were there that evening at the visitation so I'm behalf of mom Linda, Ralph and I want to thank you all very very much and most of all, we want to say thank you from Mom to you.
Respectfully,
Linda Marie Benson, Ralph Leverette and Steven Leverette.
