Jose Pompa's Obituary
Joe C. Pompa Sr., 82, passed away at his home in San Bernardino on August 12, 2010. Originally from Texas, Joe had lived in the San Bernardino area for 49 years. He owned Joe’s Barbershop in San Bernardino for 30 years. During the Korean War he proudly served in the US Navy. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling, yard sales and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Raul and Rudolfo and his sister Delia. He is survived by Rose his wife 57 year and his children, Patricia Pompa (Mark Gardner) of Highland, CA, Joe Pompa (Leslie) of Redlands, CA and Dennis Pompa (Jacque) of Highland CA; eight grandchildren and his brothers Julian and Saul both of Texas.
A visitation will be held Wednesday August 18, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404 with a chapel service Thursday August 19, 2010 at 8:45 a.m. also at Bobbitt, with a graveside service to follow at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside CA 92518
