John "Nyal" Jackson's Obituary
John "Nyal" Jackson, 98, passed away surrounded by family on September 7, 2018. He was born April 20, 1920 in Atkins, Arkansas. Nyal served in the Army during World War II as a tank crewman in the Philippines.
Nyal was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, 3 brothers, Dean Blackburn, Warren and Jack Jackson, and one daughter, Joann Bryant. Survivors include 3 daughters, Deronda Wood, Carolyn Snyder and Donna Davidson. Also, one son, Jerry Jackson. Nyal has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; many friends and extended family who will miss him and his stories. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.
