Joanne Marie Lamantia's Obituary
Joanne Marie Lamantia, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino. Joanne was born in Steubenville, Ohio and was a resident of San Bernardino for 57 years. She was retired from Civil Service after 31 years and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, Catholic Daughters of America and Knights of Columbus #405 Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, August Lamantia; 3 daughters, Margaret Szilagyi (Chuck) of Yucaipa, Dorothy Ware (John) of Highland, Trisha White (Danny) of Highland; 7 grandchildren, Justin, Danielle, Jenna, Jessica, Ryan, Ryan Lee, Erica; 2 great grandchildren, Darren and Kaydence.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue, San Bernardino. Mass of Christian Burial will follow Wednesday at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, 2525 N. Arrowhead Avenue, San Bernardino. Committal Service will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 9:45 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Staging Area #4. Condolences may be sent on-line at www.bobbittchapel.com.
