Dear Edith,

I just want to express my condolence to you and your family for your loss of Jerry, you know Edith when I would see you and Jerry at the various singing locations over the years I always said to myself, "What a classy couple!" and now after going to the service for Jerry and hearing your son Jerry and your young grandaughter I can see that your whole family has inherited the same class that both you and Jerry have.

I apologize for having to get off the phone so abruptly when we were talking but it was a nurse who was going to check on my mother so I didn't have any choice, I will always associate my memory of Jerry with his since of humor and his love of classic songs which he enjoyed singing so much.

Dear Edie and family,
I am happy that I was able to meet Jerry and talk with him on a couple of occasions during the last 2 years. He had a good sense of humor and was fun talking to him.
