Mr Jeremy Wade George's Obituary
Jeremy Wade George died November 23, 2014 due to a long illness. He was 41.
Jeremy was born March 11, 1973 in San Manuel, Arizona to his parents, Larry George and Linda Drumm. He was educated at St. Thomas Aquinas high school in San Bernardino, CA and California Polytechnic Institute in Pomona, CA. Jeremy married Gunjan Joyce Maxwell on March 15, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV. Jeremy worked as a high school and community college teacher, counselor and program director, chemist and sales executive during his career.
Jeremy was a loving and devoted husband, father, son and brother who loved people and spent his time on activities that brought joy to his family and friends. He loved his family, fishing, NASCAR racing and Pittsburgh Steelers football. He loved outdoor sports and was an expert BMX bicycle racer and member of the Diamondback national racing team, and was rated the #1 racer in the Western United States as a young man.
Jeremy was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity and treasured his time with his fraternity brothers. He is remembered as an energetic young man who boldly went all out in everything he did while generously showing kindness and compassion as he went. He coached at Civitan Little League in San Bernardino and was successful on and off the field. Players and coaches loved and respected Jeremy for his dedication to building young men as well as ball players.
He loved to barbeque and entertain and could always be counted on to do the unexpected. His devotion to his sons was demonstrated in the way he cared for them, taking them everywhere he went, feeding them, changing diapers and taking care of all their needs.
Jeremy is survived by his wife of 11 years Gunjan George, sons Justin and Preston, mother Linda Drumm and stepfather Rusty Drumm, father Larry George and stepmother Stephanie George, brothers Jason Hallmark and Christopher George, sister Leslie Jennings, and maternal grandmother Nadine Kirby. Jeremy was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Horace Cothren and by his paternal grandparents Lon and Clara George.
Viewing is scheduled at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E Highland Ave at 5 PM on Monday, December 1, and memorial service is scheduled at the same location at 11 AM on December 2, followed by a graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery 570 E Highland Ave. All locations are in San Bernardino, CA.
