I have considered Jeff my friend for as long as I can remember. I met Jeff at Arrowhead Country Club and we became great friends. We were just kids, but together we concurred swim team, little league baseball, sandlot football, skateboarding, bike riding and of course our time as spring board divers. Though Jeff and I went to different high schools, we remained friends and had many mutual friends. It has been only a couple of years since I have seen Jeff, but it seems just like yesterday. He will be missed in my life. My thoughts are with you Rich, Sharon, Cherie and Libby. I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Jeff. He was my friend at Aquinas and even though I hadn't seen him in years, he has continued to impact my life and will continue to do so. I will always remember him as being upbeat and happy, truly a good friend and someone so many wanted to be like. One of his qualities that set him apart was his inclusive attitude - it didn't matter if you were in his circle of friends, he was friendy and respectful to everyone. Jeff had such a good heart. Rich and Sharon, it’s been years since I’ve seen you or Jeff and this is such a sad way to get back in touch. I have such vivid memories of Jeff – we spent years in school together – all the way from second grade through high school - and we shared so many good times. I remember times in junior high sleeping in the front yard of the San Bernardino house in your trailer, laughing hysterically listening to Steve Martin albums all night long. And days playing football at Parkside, going to the beach with your family…. I am thankful for the memories.
Jeff was a remarkable personality – charismatic, fun and smart. He was such a natural leader and so many gravitated to him. I am so happy to hear about his family – and so sad that they have lost their husband and father. I pray that the peace of God that passes all understanding comfort and strengthen them and you.

It is with deep sorrow that we say good bye to Jeff today. But his life lives on full of the warmth and love that was always a hallmark of his incredible spirit. Although it has been 20 or more years since I've last seen Jeff, I look back on our shared times in Little League baseball, Jr. High and High School with the fondest of memories. Jeff was always a popular kid -- someone everyone wanted to be like, including me. His positive, fun outlook on life, striking good looks, captivating charm, and ability to make others laugh and feel good about themselves pointed to a man who could pretty much achieve anything he wanted in life.
When I reflect on these wonderful qualities that made him so special, along with the sadness that comes with his passing, I have to smile with a sense of gratitude for having had him in my life.
