Even though it was more than 30 years ago, I can still remember the first day I met Jeff. We were in the 3rd grade at Parkside elementary school, and I was the new kid. I was playing dodgeball with some kids I had just met, and this guy comes over and starts playing with us. My first thought was, “hey, this guy is really good”. Not only that but all the other kids just gravitated towards him. Even in the 3rd grade, Jeff had this way about him. I went to a different school the next year, and did not see much of him until the 10th grade. This time, Jeff was the new kid. It didn’t matter though. Within a couple of days, everybody knew who he was. Jeff was just the kind of guy that everybody else took notice of. So, naturally, anytime Jeff took notice of you, you felt important. Jeff will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. I pray that the Lord encourage and strengthen all of you at this very difficult time, especially Jeff’s two sons, Joshua and Matthew.##imported-begin##John Sponsler##imported-end##
