Janie & I have been best girlfriends since we were 15 & met at Pacific High in 10th grade. We have shared the ups and downs of life face-to-face or over the phone in 1-2 hour calls. Her love, laughter and support for just about everyone was just pure Janie. She will truly be missed. In the last few days I find myself thinking "I'll have to remember to tall Janie this or that, she'll get a laugh out of it." She's probably still watching over us all and laughing with us.
I remember when we did silly and sometimes stupid stuff and were truly blessed to live thru it. Like one time we took Doyle's truck to the mountains when we weren't supposed to. Or Riding to the beach in her "Vett" and getting burnt to a crisp. Or going to the beach with a crowd and having a keg of beer in a cave at Corona del Mar, and having the beach patrol confiscate it while we stood off to the side as if we didn't have a clue. Or cruising down E Street with a keg in the back seat on the way to a party.
Janie was Godmother to our boys, Paul & Gregg Trenery. She was always a part of our lives (just like she was with everyone she cared about). My folks, Dick & Elsie Hester, considered her another daughter and loved her a lot.
We all know Janie loved the beach. When we spoke earlier this month, our last conversation included her needing to make a reservation for she & Evelyn to go to their condo at the beach for a few days for some much needed relaxation. Well --- Janie - I just imagine your place in heaven will be a nice little place on a beach with lots of loved ones wandering by for a little visit.
You will be in my heart forever!
Love Ya Lots, Kat
