Mrs Janice Lee Rediker's Obituary
Our Mom, Janice Lee Rediker, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2014. She had been in nursing homes since February 2014. Her health continued to decline as time progressed, when she was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Apple Valley, California, where she slipped away from this world to her heavenly home.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Holler of Ramona, CA, her husband Robert Holler and their two children, Christina Holler and Joshua Holler, a son, Todd Rediker, his wife, Melissa Rediker, and youngest son Tim Rediker and his wife Marci Rediker.
Janice is survived also by her two sisters Audrey Taulbee and Demarius Couts and her husband John Couts.
Janice is also survived by her grandchildren: Danielle Rediker of Colorado, Nicole Anderson of Brea, Chloe and Chanel Rediker of Redlands and Madeline Rediker of Nevada.
Janice had 5 nephews and 3 nieces.
She was a long time resident of San Bernardino, CA before moving to Apple Valley, CA to be near her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Melissa Rediker.
She is preceded in death by her father Ralph Cowden, her mother Marietta Leavens and step-father William Leavens, her eldest sister Betty Mabery, and brother, Ralph Cowden Jr., and her nephews Robert and Skip Mabery, brothers-in-law William Mabery and Norman Taulbee.
In the past several years, her hearts desire was to serve the Lord with gladness and share to anyone who would listen, about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She kept saying, "I can't go yet, there are more who need to know that Jesus loves them, and family who need me to pray for them." She shared the love of Jesus to all who walked through her door, especially at the nursing homes that she resided in. At Valley Healthcare Center in San Bernardino, many of the nurses and staff that worked with her enjoyed her sense of humor. She shared the Lord with them all.
When she was moved up to Apple Valley Post Acute Center, she carried on with her "mission". One young man there, Shiloh Wright, really enjoyed mom. Even if she wasn't on his duty roster for the day, he made a point of checking in on her and helping where ever he was needed. They bonded immediately. They would joke back and forth all day long. She really loved him and prayed for him all the time that he would make a commitment to Jesus. He would go to the hospital and check on her many times while she was at St. Mary's Medical Center in ICU. Even his wife Tara got in on the task. We still keep in touch with him and when he learned that mom had passed away, he cried and put on Facebook for all to see, "I loved Janice Rediker. She was the most amazing woman I ever met." He was her last "mission" on earth for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Well done, though good and faithful servant, enter now into your rest…
