Janet Louise Stringer's Obituary
Janet Louise Stringer, also known as Jan, or G-Ma , passed away on January 8, 2024, in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, at the age of 81. She was born on May 31, 1942, in Lynn, Massachusetts, to Winston Shepard Drake and Phyllis Evelyn Drake.
Janet was a loving and devoted family woman who cherished her loved ones dearly. Throughout her life, she actively participated in various organizations. In her younger years, Janet was a proud member of Jobs Daughters International. As her own children came along, she enthusiastically engaged in their activities, serving as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts and a Troop Leader in Girl Scouts. Janet also actively supported her son's multiple Little League teams and worked the snackbar.
In addition to her involvement in organizations, Janet had a passion for crafting and crocheting. She lovingly handcrafted numerous blankets, which she gifted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Later in life Janet took up line dancing having a great time going to country western dances.
Janet Stringer is survived by her daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Stringer, and her son, Dwayne Stringer. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Brittney Stringer, Miranda Huss, Nicholas Scheffler, Courtney Blakemore, Noah Stringer, Owen Stringer, Evan Stringer, and Hannah Paul. Janet was also blessed with several great-grandchildren, including Xander, Emmie, Gabe, Nicholas, Hayden, Jemma, Jaxon, Joclyn and Jeffrey.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Winston Shepard Drake, her mother, Phyllis Evelyn Drake, her brother, Clayton Drake, her husband, Douglas Richard Stringer, and her son, Mark Jeffrey Stringer.
Janet's memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her love, dedication, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of those around her.
