Janet Evelyn Scebold's Obituary
Janet Evelyn Scebold 82 of Highland, California passed away Monday, April 13th after a brief illness. Born in Pennsylvania she had been a resident of California since the early 70's. Janet was a very loving and devoted nurse that spent the majority of her career at Loma Linda University Medical Center in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before retiring. Her love for children, especially babies was evident throughout her life and career. Janet loved to collect dolls and dollhouses and had an extensive collection spanning throughout her lifetime. She had a passion for being outdoors, gardening, planting flowers and working around the house. She and her husband also loved to travel, visiting family and exploring new places. Her soft words, kind heart and loving embrace will be missed by her entire family.
Janet is survived by her loving husband Ben Lynch, children Brian Scebold and wife Kimberly, Son in law Joe Thompson. Preceded in death by daughter Bren Thompson. Step children: Tom Lynch, Kathy Peters, Dan Lynch (deceased), Donna Klein and David Lynch. Grand children: Ian Thompson, Liahnnie Thompson, Emma Scebold, Tommy Lynch , Matt Doud, Chris Doud, Jennifer Mizanskey, Heidi Lynch, Matt Lynch , Keri Cooper, Kevin Lynch, Mike Lynch and 17 Great Grand Children.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Bobbitt Memorial Chapel and she will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Loma Linda Children's Hospital Foundation at www.lluch.org/ways-give.
