I remember one time when my mother shared with me about one of her visits to DSW Shoes. She had entered the store and browsed for a while then proceeded to try on some boots but she was wearing sandals so she needed to borrow a nylon booty. She tried on the boots and did not like them so she put them back and proceeded to walk out to the door and she noticed that several people were looking at her feet. Well, since she had just had a pedicure, she was naturally thinking to herself, "Oh, they must be admiring my beautiful pedicure and sandals." So she proceeded to strut out the door and to her car for her drive home. Upon returning home she went to her room to take off her sandals, but in doing so she realized that after trying on the boots at DSW she had forgotten to remove the booty before putting on her sandals. She realized that everyone was staring at her due to the booty that was wedged between her big and second toes. When she shared this with me she was laughing so hard and just couldn't believe it. Tears were rolling down her eyes. This story is an example of how funny and carefree and how much she loved life. She NEVER took anything too seriously because she truly believed that God was in control.
