James V. Williams' Obituary
James V. Williams, 88, of Highland , CA passed away comfortably on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at his residence with family and friends at his side. He is survived by his son Jeff “Owen” (Susan) Williams of Highland, daughter, Suzette Nau of Avon Lake , Ohio , grandsons, Jake Tedesco of Redondo Beach , CA , John Tedesco of Santa Barbara , CA . and Jeffery Williams of Palm Springs, CA. great grandson, Tony Tedesco of Redondo Beach, CA and brother Clifford (Phylis) Brown of Rancho Cordova, CA. He was preceded in death by his daughter Julia March 1, 2010, son James A. July 7, 2011 & wife LaVauna August 22, 2011.
On January 3, 1943 James enlisted in the US Army Air Corp serving as a crew chief on B-17’s and B-29’s during WW II. Later he served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam . On October 31, 1967 James retired from the US Air Force at Hickam AFB as SMSGT. After retiring he pursued his acting career and appeared in several movies and commercials. He was a well loved active thespian in local community theatres. He was an active member of SAG and AFTRA. James was an active member of VFW Post 421.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, Highland , CA. with interment to follow at Riverside National Cemetery , Riverside , CA , staging area #6. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Please attend James Life Celebration in Hawaiian attire
