James "Jim" Priestley Reeder's Obituary
James P. Reeder “Jim” 80, died on January 2, 2011 after a brief illness. He was born in Buena Vista, TN on July 30, 1930 to Connie Priestley Reeder and Jewel Wilson Reeder.
He attended Central High School in Bruceton, Bethel College, U.T. - Martin and graduated from CSU San Francisco. He served in the US Army, G2 Intelligence from 1954-57. Jim was a Recreation Therapist and Supervisor at many State hospitals and Executive Director of Valley of the Sun School in Phoenix, AZ. He retired from Patton Hospital in 1989.
Jim is survived by his son, Zac (Lisa); daughter, Juni Grimes; grandkids Julia Rose and Nicholas Jude Priestley; former spouse Rose Reeder; cousin Ruth Clendenin and friend Beverly Jackson.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday January 9, 2011 at 2pm at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA 92404. Burial will be private at Riverside National Cemetery.
