Mr James Daniel Planck's Obituary
James ‘Danny’ Planck, 63 passed away on June 10, 2014 at his home in San Bernardino. An Air Force baby, Danny was born in St., John’s Newfoundland, to Lt Col James B. and Isla Darlene Planck (Reece). Danny lived in many different states and abroad during his father’s service, spending his young teenage years in Castle Heights Military Academy in Tennessee. He came home to San Bernardino in 1965 and graduated from Eisenhower High School in Rialto, CA. Soon after high school he worked installing TV antennas and was introduced to the IBEW as an electrician. He enjoyed racing motor cross all over Southern California and Baja. He worked many large jobs, such as the Mt. View Power Plant and Ivanpah Solar Power Plant from where he retired.
He was preceded in death by his father Lt Col James B Planck, his brother Billy Weir and his step father Bill Weir.
He is survived by Susana his wife of 19 years. Also surviving him are daughters DeLaine and Alexandra and five siblings, Pam, Terri, David, Becky and Bobby and his mother Isla Darlene Newman along with many nieces nephews and good friends.
He was the best husband, father, son, brother, and coworker, a family could ask for. We will miss you, your uniqueness and unforgettable sense of humor, especially your personality, beyond time. We will love you forever ‘Planckster’
A private service will be held at sea.
