James Eugene Merrett
Jim was born in Poplar Bluff, MO and peacefully passed away at his home in San Bernardino, CA on June 12, 2017, at 90 years of age. As a young man, he submitted to Christ’s lordship and lived his life reflecting Jesus.
His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, friends, and doing for others. He worshiped at Immanuel Baptist Church for over 55 years while also enjoying deep sea fishing and traveling. He was a general contractor in Southern California for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by Lillie, his wife of 64 years.
His legacy includes his 4 children: Dennis Merrett, Janette (LeRoy) Nowlin, Virgil Merrett, and Pamela (Peter) Younkman; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
