Dr. James "Jim" McKinster's Obituary
On September 28, 1934 James Elbert McKinster was born in Bryant, Oklahoma. The son of a wildcatter oilman and a strong willed loving mother that always put her sons first. After graduating from San Bernardino High School, he was the first in his family to go to college. Starting at San Bernardino Valley College he continued to Redlands University and eventually receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Loma Linda School of Dentistry.
Dr. McKinster has five sons to which he was devoted. His greatest longing and love was for his wife Janet for whom he treasured with all his being. Our father loved, lived, hunted, helped and fly fished from Mexico to Alaska and everyone that knew him loved him. He was generous, supportive and affectionate. Jim's spirit, his joy and passion for life will continue on in our hearts and minds. He will remind us of the preciousness of each day we live. He will be greatly missed.
