JAMES STEPHEN MC DONALD's Obituary
James Stephen McDonald, 63, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009, in San Bernardino. Jim was a resident of San Bernardino for 58 years and graduated from San Bernardino High School and San Bernardino Valley College. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Jim was an electrical technician for General Dynamics for 14 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and collecting watches. Jim also owned and operated Canada’s Frozen Yogurt for several years, after that he worked as an instructional aide for the Redlands and Rialto School Districts. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Carol; son, Matthew (Candice); sister, Patricia Thompson (John); two nieces, Cynthia Thompson, Cheryl Veleker (Michael); three great-nephews, Bradly, Trent, Trey Veleker and great-niece, Jennifer Veleker all of San Bernardino. Viewing will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2009, both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Interment will follow at 1:45 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, staging area #4.
