Mr. James Nicholas Litras' Obituary
James N Litras was born on October 11, 1932 at St. Bernadine's Hospital in San Bernardino, CA to Nicholas and Marica Litras, Greek immigrants. He passed away February 17, 2015 in Beaumont, CA.
Jim graduated from Fresno State University and met the love of his life Koula while stationed at Fort Totten in Bayside, New York. They married in 1957 and were married for 50 years.
Jim and Koula ran several restaurant / catering businesses including Jimbo's Restaurant and The Orange Show in San Bernardino, Campus Crusade for Christ at the Arrowhead Springs Hotel and Shandin Hills Golf Club in San Bernardino.
Jim loved spending time with his family camping, fishing, hunting and spending time on his boat, Jim's Beam, that was docked at Dana Point Harbor.
He is survived by his Brother and Sister-in-Law - Xeno and Kay Litras, Sons - Nick Litras and Stathi Litras, Daughter - Diane Sullivan, Grandchildren - Jamie, Jake & Eleni Litras, Larissa Hawkins, Kenny & Mia Sullivan and Great Grand Daughter Kailey Hawkins.
A visitation will be held Monday 2/23, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel located at 1299 East Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92404. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 1035 Inland Center Drive, San Bernardino. Procession to follow to Mt. View Cemetery located at 570 East Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made the American Cancer Society / Breast Cancer in honor of Koula Litras.
