James "Jim" Jordan's Obituary
SMSgt (RET) James (Jim) Jordan Jr., 79, born in Norwood, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on September 5, 2024. He retired, after 23 years of proud military service, from the Air Force and 25 years at Kaiser Permanente (Fontana) as the Unit Manager of the OR.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Jones) Jordan after 57 years of marriage, children, Dawn Jordan (RET MSgt Ron) Hathaway, James Jordan, Debra Jordan (Doug) Broadsword, and Jody Mershon (Lewis) Larsen.
Proud Grandfather to Christopher, Steven, Sarah, Ryan, Madison Marie, Mykie, Jocelynn, Ethan, and Lucky. Bonus Grandfather to Bryndon and Irena. Proud Great Grandfather to Samantha Elizabeth Marie, Hayden and Jayden. Also survived by many uncles, aunts, brothers in law and friends. Preceded in death by his parents James and Olive Jordan.
Jim was a loving, dedicated, honorable, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His need to always put others before his own was apparent to how he lived his life.
As a young man Jim loved to bowl, play darts, golf, take his family camping and when he retired from Kaiser his love of history led him to his passion for genealogy. Jim spent many hours researching and learning all about the family’s heritage.
To the love of my life, “I hope you live to 100 years, and I will live to 100 years minus one day, so, I never have to live one day without you”. Your forever love, Jim
