Mrs. Jacqueline Carlene Davis' Obituary
Jacqueline Carlene Davis was born March 17, 1927 in Beaumont, CA and died February 19, 2018 in San Bernardino, CA surrounded by friends and family. She was the daughter of John and Dr. Una Brown Carey. She married Richard Dean Davis on January 11, 1947. She graduated from San Bernardino High School and then attended San Bernardino Valley College and Brigham Young University. Jacqueline began playing the violin at the age of six and became an accomplished violinist. She played in the San Bernardino Symphony, the Redlands University Orchestra and the San Jacinto Symphony. She worked at the Harris Company and she was also the librarian at the San Bernardino Symphony Guthrie Music Library for many years. Jacque loved life and gained much pleasure whenever she saw flowers and birds. She was a long-time member of the LDS church.
Jacque is survived by her daughter, Carlene Lynet Field, and 2 sons, Mayor R. Carey Davis (Johnetta), and Mitchel Dean Davis (Carmen), 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Afton Miller, brother-in-law, Ellsworth Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS church, 3860 N. Waterman Ave, San Bernardino CA with a viewing at 10:00 a.m.
