JACK DAVID NEELEY's Obituary
Jack David Neeley a 38 year resident of Highland, California passed away on Friday, September 28th in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania at the age of 85.Jack was an Army World War II Veteran serving in the European Theater under General Patton's 3rd Army, 65th Division, in the 261st Infantry Regiment. He was an H-Company, Heavy Weapons, 81 Millimeter Mortarman, and was awarded a Bronze Star. Following his discharge from the Army, Jack reenlisted in the U.S.A.F. and worked as a photographer and archivist, retiring as a Tech Sergeant. Following his retirement, Jack worked as a civil servant for the Air Force for an additional 20 years.Jack not only enjoyed serving this Great Country of ours, he also belonged to the American Legion, Post 1000, San Francisco, CA, the Moose Lodge, Capitol Area Lodge 107, Marysville, PA, and the Free and Accepted Masons in the Okaloosa Lodge, Niceville, FL. However, his favorite fellowship was with his family at the Highland Congregational Church where he was a member for 38 years. Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years Betty Jane (Trout) Neeley; his children, Lt. Col. Patrick F. Neeley of N. Potomac, MD and his wife Fran; Wendy Marzullo of Highland, CA and her husband Emil; and David Neeley of San Miguel, CA and his wife Debbie. Jack also is survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Emily, David, Brian, Nicholas, Ricky and one great grandchild as well as his sister Betty Fleischer of Harrisburg, PA and her husband Don. A Visitation for Jack will be on Sunday, October 7th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd., in Riverside on Tuesday, October 9th at 10:00 a.m. There will also be Memorial Services for Jack on Tuesday, October 9th 2007 at 12:00 noon at the Highland Congregational Church at 3606 Atlantic Ave.,
