Ivan Duane Learned's Obituary
Ivan D. Learned, 74, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at home in Highland. Ivan was a lifetime resident of San Bernardino and worked for Carpenters Local Union #235, Yeager Construction and U.S. Department of Forestry as a helicopter pilot. He served two years active duty in the U S Marine Corp and four years in the US Army Reserves as an aircraft mechanic. He Played college football for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he majored in Agricultural Engineering. He was a member of Highland Hills Church, Damascus Masonic Lodge #648 F&A.M., Canadian Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Al Malaikah Temple. Ivan loved fishing, football, dancing, spending time with family and loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Jill Yzaguirre and Julie Werts, and son-in-law Drew, all of Highland; sister, Bonnie Bass of Bel-Air, Florida; 3 Grandchildren, Kylie Werts, Garrett Yzaguirre and Annica Yzaguirre. Chapel Service will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, CA.
