Irene G Motis' Obituary
Irene Gillette Motis, age 96, died on July 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Motis, brother Ernest Gillette, sister, Evelyn Gillette Swezea and her parents.
She was born on October 31, 1923 in Kearney, Nebraska to Frank and Geneva Zeck Gillette. After graduating from high school, she worked for a doctor in Kearney.
She met her husband at a Armory Dance and they were married on December 29, 1944. As the war was on, he re-enlisted in the Air force and was sent to Fairfield AFB in Spokane, WA. Their only child was born, Marilyn and then Bob was sent over seas for a year. Her brother Ernest was in Spokane and her sister Evelyn was in Richland, attending college. They enjoyed the Air Force life and were at numerous bases in the United States. Bob retired in 1967 and they stayed in San Bernardino. He worked at Falco in the Camera Department for 17 years and played golf every week.
Irene is survived by her daughter Marilyn Zoulko and husband Phillip, cousin Wanda Mae Huntsman and nieces and one nephew.
