Howard William Below's Obituary
Howard “Howie” William Below, 52 of San Bernardino, CA passed away on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at Loma Linda University Medical Center after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born in the West Point Military Academy hospital at West Point, N.Y. to Colonel Howard Below and Catherine Below on Feb. 12, 1958. He was a graduate of San Gorgonio High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Kincaid. Howard entered the automobile sales profession and was very successful. He eventually became a Ford dealership sales manager. Although Howie’s health was failing and he was struggling from day to day, he still had room in his heart to help others and encourage them with his smile and great attitude. He is survived by his parents, Colonel Howard and Catherine Below of San Bernardino, sister, Barbara (Dr. James P.) Ferguson of San Bernardino, brother, W. Scott (Tracey) Below of Yucaipa, sister, Kathleen Anderson of Ohio, aunt, Helen Capdevielle of Arlington Heights, Il., 5 nephews and 3 nieces. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino with interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, Ca. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11 to 1 P.M. at Bobbitt’s.
