Helen Janiece Gardner's Obituary
Helen Janiece (Egger) Gardner, born on January 20, 1942 in Hemet, California, her parents were the late Barbara E. Egger, Robert L. Egger, and Laura F. Egger. Helen passed away at age 76 on February 2, 2018 in San Bernardino, California. She graduated from Hemet High School. She and Ed owned Gardner Rubber Stamp Company until 1995. Helen then went to work for the City of San Bernardino, working in the Mayor's office, then at the San Bernardino Police Dept. as an Investigation Clerk, until retiring in 2008. Helen was the beloved wife of Edward E. Gardner, whom she was married to for over 58 years. She is survived by her sons, Edward Scott Gardner (Yolanda), Allen Gardner (Tia), and Douglas Gardner; daughter, Pamela Escamilla (Tony); brother, Michael Egger (Yvonne); sister, Ruth Egger (Kathy); grandchildren, Edward Gregory Gardner (Marissa), Bethany Jones (Thomas), Rebecca Yule (Joshua), Michael Gardner (Taylor), Emilia Gardner, Kristofer Moore, Jacob Gardner, Samantha Thrasher (Ethan), Ryan Escamilla, and Brooke Escamilla; and great-grandchildren, Emmabella, Aidun and Frankie Jones, Beckett Gardner, and Davis Moore; and God grandchildren, Shelly, Jacob and Phoebe. She also leaves behind her greatly loved dog, Pixie Sticks and cat, Lucky. Helen loved her family and friends, going to Arizona, baking, cake decorating, sewing, collecting pretty dishes, painting, playing with rocks (OBMS), she was a member of the Mojave Arms Collectors Assoc., she played the bagpipes, many people will know her from her involvement with the Boy Scouts, Little League and PTA. Helen had a big heart and was loved by all who knew her. Friends and family can pay their respects at the graveside service, officiated by Pam Moore, on Monday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, 2555 Santa Fe Street, San Jacinto, California, 92583. Following that, there will be a reception at Ed and Helen’s House in San Bernardino.
