Harold E. Wessel, 85, passed away on March 16, 2014 at Grand Junction, Colorado where he’d been living for over seven years. Harold was originally from San Bernardino and graduated from San Bernardino High School. He joined the Bo Read Obituary
Sorry that I was not able to be there for the Memorial. I will miss you when I visit Grand Junction. You will be missed by all and especially Barbara and Chan. Sue
My thoughts and prayers are with you Barbara and family. I worked with Harold at the "G" Street Base, Southern California Gas Company for quite a few years and still enjoyed his friendship long after he retired. Harold, while still in California continued to attend our Christmas breakfasts and managed to stop by and visit with me every so often. After moving to Colorado, Harold still would call me and thank me for the invite to the breakfast, explain he would not be able to attend and then we would spend the next half hour or so catching up. I looked forward to those calls and will greatly miss them. I last talked to Harold in December and he sounded great. He said you two were setting with blankets over your legs and keeping warm and that all was well. Barb (as he called you) Harold alway spoke of you in the most loving way. He truly was a good man. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Harold was a wonderful guy -- former member of church, Calvary Baptist, and neighbor/friend here in Valencia Lea MHP. Always tried to help if needed - remember he helped our son out with a gas utility question problem a few yrs back too. May he rest in peace. Now no pain or suffering. Hugs to Barbara and the family.
