Bubbles, it has been a long time since we saw each other, but let me just say that my heart is just in a million pieces over your loss. She was a beautiful young woman & I cannot imagine loosing a child.My mom, Aunt Lavell, had told me about your visits to her & I was so happy to know that you came all that way to see her. She is in bad health now, but she did tell me that she called you a few times & then she got a card from you. Her heart was broken, too, for all of you. I am so glad to know that you have found God along your way & I know that without Him in your life, this ordeal would probably been harder on you. You know what I mean? I, too, let God into my life about 6 years ago & I thank Him everyday for that! You know, we have a loving, giving, forgiving, wonderful Father in Heaven that has helped me finally get my life together & my husband & I have adopted my grandson, who is 10 yrs. old & I thank God for him & for my husband...I thank God for the strength to carry on, for the love He gives to us; well, I thank God EVERYDAY for all of His many Blessings! And I want you to know that I pray each night for you & your family & I ask The Lord to keep you strong in Faith & to ease your pain soon. All my deepest sympathy & love, Bonnie

Hello,
I am SPC Hernandez, and I remember Heavrin very well. She use to make me laugh back in basic training...I remember going to reception at Ft. Jackson to inprocess with her when we first joined the ARMY. I remember she use to make our whole platoon roar with laughter because no matter what the drill sergeant said...she kept a huge smile on her face. But that was her personality, consistently happy, and always smiling. Nothing ever got to her or got her down. Drill sergeants couldn't help but laugh themselves. I just remember being ecstatic when I found out someone other than myself was from California. I had never left home before, so I was naturally scared. I went through reception, Basic, and even AIT with Hannah...she was a cool and fun personality...one in which I'll never forget!!! Leah, I still can't believe you are gone. I just remember all the times in choir together and talking in Linda's sunday school class. We saw each other basically 6 days week. I remember when we used to tell stories in Mrs. Dobkin's class, while sewing. I remember talking about our familes, our lives, different situations, and so much more. I remember doing private Bible studies on Sundays. I remember laughing and joking and singing and dancing. Thank you for giving your life, so we may live in a country with the freedoms we have.

To the Heavrins and Chris-my deepest condolences for you all. I love Leah, and she will forever live in all our hearts. Hannah, You do not know me, but i was reading the Newspaper this morning and i saw your picture. Thank you for your service to our country. Thank you for your leadership. Thank you for your inspiration. I know that you are smiling upon your Husband, son and your family right now. Thank you Hannah. Those words ring a bit hollow for paying the ultimate price for the Freedom of all of us. But to you Hanna, called by God to be with him in Heaven, and to all your family here on Earth, let me quote:
