Guadalupe Simon Zaragoza
Born in San Bernardino, California on October 28, 1922, Guadalupe passed away February 8, 2013 at ninety years of age. Guadalupe was a proud Army Veteran of World War II, member of the Timberwolves Infantry Division, and a recipient of the Bronze Star. Upon completing his military service, Lupe joined the Santa Fe Railroad Company, where he served as a Carman for 28 years.
Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife of nearly 59 years, Clara B. Zaragoza and two daughters, Dr. Sylvia Gisi and Susan Ramirez, their respective husbands, Rodney and Miguel, and a granddaughter, Amanda Gisi. He is also survived by his two brothers Ray and Jess Zaragoza, his six sisters, Isidra Zaragoza, Paula Garcia, Nancy Leon, Hope Molina, Mary Isakson, and Carmen Noffsinger, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Lucio, his mother Trinidad Sermeño Zaragoza, and his younger brother Ned.
