Grace Emma Windegger's Obituary
Grace Emma (Souders) Windegger (90) went to her celestial home on
December 17, 2019. Grace was born in St. Louis Missouri, on March 13, 1929
to parents Mabel and Benjamin Souders.
Grace graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1947.
Grace worked as a clerical assistant for J.C. Penney’s and then for
McKesson & Robbins pharmaceutical where she met Edwin and it was love
at first sight. They were married on October 16, 1948 for 70 years.
In 1950, they were blessed with a daughter (Linda) and in 1953 blessed
again with a son (Eric) making the perfect family. After the family moved to
San Bernardino, California in 1955, she became a homemaker until their
children were in High School and then worked part time for the original Harris
Department Store as a personal shopper until the store was sold to a company
in Spain.
Grace joined Arrowhead Chapter, #548 Order of the Eastern Star with
Husband Edwin in 1958 and thru consolidation Gate City Chapter, #212
where she served as Worthy Matron in 2009 and 2014 with Edwin.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Edwin and Son Eric and
survived by her daughter Linda.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave. San Bernardino, CA with visitation one-hour prior at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park Cemetery, Colton, CA.
