Gordon Wayne Bullock's Obituary
Gordon W. Bullock, age 80 of Oceanside, California died Monday, April 26, 2021. Gordon was born January 7, 1941 in Somerset (Pulaski County) Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Anne Bullock; Sister, Edna Stone; Daughter, Christina Bullock; Son Larry Bullock and his wife Yolanda; five grandchildren Krista, Demetrios, Brittani, Alexandra and Brendan; and, 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Lillie Bullock; his siblings, Beryl Bullock, Alvena Whitis, Doris Goodin, Alberta Streeval, Pete Bullock, Phyllis Stevens, Larry Bullock; and, his son Andreas Bullock.
Gordon retired from the Air Force as a SMSgt, after serving his Country for 22 years. He received his Bachelors of Science in Electronic Systems from Southern Illinois University in 1979. Gordon began his second career at Safetran Systems Corporation where he started with Test Department Management. He held various managerial positions including Vice President and General Manager of the California Division until he retired after 27 years of dedicated service
Gordon enjoyed gardening, volunteering his time to low-income families and the elderly in filing their annual taxes; researching alternative health; and investing in the stock market. Most of all, Gordon was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
We grieve for the loss of the patriarch of our family and will miss the talks and wisdom he often shared with those he loved. May his memory be eternal.
Viewing will be on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a Trisagion to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 1035 Inland Center Drive, San Bernardino, California. Burial will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, California.
