Glenn Joseph Nicholson's Obituary
Glenn Joseph Nicholson
April 13, 1951 to September 13, 2018
Glenn Joseph Nicholson, age 67, was born April 13, 1951 in San Bernardino, CA, the 2nd of 5 children born to Doris Anne and Roy J. Nicholson. He attended Bradley Elementary, Del Vallejo Jr. High, and graduated in 1969 from Pacific High School where he was on the swim/diving team. Soon after graduating he met his future wife, Dena Hulsebus.
In 1968 while still in high school, he worked for the Sun Telegram Newspaper for a couple of years before being hired by Squirt/Dr. Pepper Bottleing/Distribution Inc. as a delivery/sales representative in the upper and lower desert areas. Later he became a delivery/sales representative and then warehouseman for Anheuser Busch, Inc. for a 33 year career with that company, and then retired in February 2016.
Glenn loved to work with wood, putting his touch on many wood pieces in our household. There's a creation or woodworking project of his in almost every room of our house. He also loved to fish and enjoyed many recent road trip adventures to various national parks and many other excursions he took with his wife. He also was excellent at various household maintenance tasks and also some vehicle engine rebuilding and maintenance which he really did not like, but was very good at it. He was very generous with his time, always willing to help, a very knowledgeable person.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 44 years, two sons, Steven and Robert, his sister, Janis Smith, his brother, David, and our beloved Labrador Retriever, Molly.
Memorial Service will be at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel in San Bernardino on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
