Gertrude Mary Whetzel, 99, of San Bernardino, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Crestview Convalescent Hospital in Rialto. Whetzel, born May 15, 1908 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, lived in the San Bernardino area for 45 years. Mrs Read Obituary
Gertrude was a great crusader. She always talked about Jesus Christ no matter what the situation. Gertrude lead my mom & dad to Christ in their older years. She baptized my son at 3, he is now 34. Gertrude was a great warrior for Christ. When I came to town to visit family, I always had to see my little Gertrude. We will miss this great warrior.

Everytime I spoke with Gertrude, she made me smile. She always gave a friendly touch and many words of encouragement. She truly was an angel on earth. Now God has taken her home to be with him.
