Gerald Edward Bernard's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Gerald “Jerry” Bernard Jerry Bernard was Born in Garber, Oklahoma on February 5th, 1938 & passed away, after a long & courageous battle with cancer, on Monday June 26th, 2006 at his home in Crestline. Jerry served honorably in the U. S. Army. He began his career in law enforcement as a member of the Ventura County Marshal’s Office, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant. After several years he transferred to the San Bernardino County Marshal’s Office & retired as a Lieutenant in 1993. He began his “Love Story” with Geri when they married in August of 1979. The shared more than 26 years of happiness & love, enjoying many outdoor activities including time spent RV-ing & boating. They often described their marriage as “fun”. He leaves behind his loving wife, Geri; his mother Winnie Bernard; his sister, Lenita and brother in law Larry Lane’ his brother in law Eric and Sister in Law Miggie Radli, his children Lori, Jeri-lyn, Richard and Nicholas, grandchildren Michael, David and Meghan, his beloved pets Megan, Snickers, Toto and Scarlet, and many friends whose lives he touched along life’s journey… always caring and sharing, although at times he did say “keep me posted.” Graveside services will be held at 9:45am on Friday, June 30th at Riverside National Cemetery, Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, Staging Area 4. Reception to follow at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino.
