GENEVIEVE E. MEEKINS's Obituary
Genevieve E. Meekins, 97, of Orange passed away at her home. Mrs. Meekins was born in Chicago and had been a resident of San Bernardino for 50 years before moving to Orange with her family 6 years ago. She worked as a manager with Woolworth in Chicago, Standard Brands Paints and then with Sages Markets at the Courtesy Booth for 15 years. She was a past member of First Presbyterian Church in San Bernardino. She loved playing the piano and knitting. Loved to travel and read the dictionary. She is survived by her daughter Irene Yates-Rudin of Orange, son Ernie Meekins of Temecula, sister Carole Givens of Kingman, AZ, 7 grandchildren, Lance, Dwaine, Zack, Kyle, Chad, Randy and Shannon, and 2 great grandchildren Nicholas and Chloe. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10;00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m, at Mt. View Cemetery, 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino.
