Gary Lane Smith of Banning, born, Stratton, NE 2/17/31 died 11/12/13. He graduated from San Bernardino High, served in the U S Navy during the Korean war, served 30 years as a San Bernardino City firefighter, made & flew RC airplanes & was a member of the Gilman Springs RC Flyers Club.
He leave his wife, Dolores, of 63 years; daughter Connie Swailes (Greg) of Hesperia; sons, Michael Smith (Kathy) of Havasu City, AZ; Kenneth Smith (Kim) of Colorado Springs, CO & daughter Sherrie Smith of San Bernardino. The proud gramps to 12 grandchildren & 20 great-grands.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Rialto.
In lieu of flowers memorials to Grace Lutheran (539 N Acacia Av, Rialto, 92376) or the VNA of Banning (264 N Highland Springs Av, Banning, 92220).
