Gary Melvin Curtis' Obituary
Gary passed away on September 18, 2023 and joined his wife, Carol on her birthday at their heavenly home. He passed away at his home surrounded by his two daughters and his sister who loved him beyond measure.
Gary graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1961and worked for KCKC country radio station in San Bernardino for many years. Later in life Gary made a career change into real estate and worked in the Palm Springs area while residing in Indio for the past many years.
Gary was a loving husband, father, pop, BaBa, brother, son, uncle, cousin and friend. Gary and Carol raised their daughters in a loving Christian home with more laughter than you could imagine. "Dad is with the Lord and with our mom; what an amazing birthday gift the Lord brought to our mom in calling our dad home that day. We are sad although we can’t help but to rejoice!"
Gary is proceeded in death by his beautiful wife of 60 years, Carol Curtis; parents, Mel and Helen Curtis, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his daughters, Shannon (Rod) Friesen and Shellie (Eric) Berry; 3 Grandchildren, Mark Mihalkovitz, Emily Valerio and Davis Friesen; Great Grandson, Hunter Mihalkovitz; Sister, Janice (Ted) Norris; 2 Nephews, Greg Norris (and family) and Gary Norris (and family), and countless cousins and friends.
We are truly blessed that our family has so many memories to carry in our hearts.
Out of respect for Gary’s wishes, funeral services will be private.
