Gail Ann Malleis' Obituary
Gail Ann Marie (Grinder) Malleis passed away peacefully at home with her sons and her dear friend at her side, on May 24, 2021. Gail was born on January 2, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, to Joseph McLeavy Grinder and Dorothy Lillis Barton Grinder. Gail received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Detroit and taught in the Livonia Public Schools and at Divine Child School in Dearborn. She lived in Michigan, Texas, New Mexico, Virginia, and Arizona, devoted to raising her sons, and moved to California to be near them in 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister Sharon (Grinder) Walker, and survived by her sister Barbara (Grinder) Thornburg, her brother Joseph Grinder and his wife Francie, by her sons Ronald Joseph Malleis and David Barton Malleis and his wife Petra Malleis-Sternberg, and her grandchildren Joseph, Abigail, Ana and Jonathan Malleis-Sternberg, along with many nieces and nephews and her close group of dear friends. A memorial will be held on June 26 at 10 a.m. online in order to include friends and family from around the country, and a mass with an intention in her memory will be held that evening at Our Lady of Hope Church, San Bernardino.
