My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. The passing of a loved one is always hard.
Cameron and Christian, I know you not only lost your grandfather, but a friend as well. Hang on to your memories. No one can ever take them away.
God Bless all of you##imported-begin##Lee Fitzgerald##imported-end##
After knowing and working with Fred for 30 something years I am greatly saddened to hear of his passing. I was proud to call him friend and always enjoyed our conversations over the years. My prayers will be with you all.##imported-begin##Michael Varvil##imported-end##
HELLO FAMILY
I had the pleasure of phoning Fred, just before Christmas. I worked with him in the Right of Way Dept. at CALTRANS for over thirty years. Going to lunch functions and riding in Fred's car always was a bit of an adventure considering that the homemade pedal extensions on his car with C-clamps worked so well.
Condolences to all the family and Happy New Year as well. Ron Wanee##imported-begin##RONALD L. WANEE##imported-end##
Melba, It was with great sadness that I read of Fred's passing on Dec. 25. I will always treasure the memories of him at Del Rosa and what a wonderful person he was. He will be missed by all who knew him and I am grateful I had the pleasure of knowing him over the years. My heart goes out for you and the family. I understand your grief at this time as I've just lost two very good friend this month. Now I must add another good friend. But someday we will all meet again and that is what keeps us going. God Bless you and your family. Patti & Brad Aker##imported-begin##Patti Aker##imported-end##
Dear Melba, Donald, Michael
and all the family...
Your loss of Fred on Christmas Day, has been felt by all.
We have shared many fond memories together as our children were growing up and strong friendships were created from the "Kindergarten Days" (at the old Mitchell School) to the present.
The journey through a person's lifetime takes many twists and turns and the character is molded by those experiences.
I am of the opinion that we are all better people for having known Fred and we are grateful for the many personal memories recorded in our minds like:
FRED...as the T-BALL COACH, for
our 6-year-olds. That was SO FUN FOR "US PARENTS" to "see the ACTION on the field" (and
there was PLENTY OF THAT!) (ha)
Then, there were the MANY soccer experiences when we came together...especially...our week-long trip to HAWAII (as a team) to participate in the RAINBOW TOURNAMENT in HONOLULU.
(Remember the FUNDRAISERS at the
OLYMPIC GAMES in LA.)
Also...the time when an "excited" Michael came over to SHOW US HIS DAD'S "FUN TRUCK"
(an old MODEL T...I think it was).
There was Fred's "Surprise 60th Birthday Party"...and...also a
"shared" THANKSGIVING.
These are just some that come to mind but...ALL...were an expression of "sharing and caring"...which is what life is all about.
We celebrate "FRED'S CONTRIBUTION TO LIFE", and PRAY that GOD'S GRACE will envelope you all during this most difficult transition in your lives.
LOVE TO ALL,
Gloria Waggoner
