Mr Frederick William Albrecht Jr.'s Obituary
Former San Bernardino Resident and Police Sergeant Fred Albrecht 75, passed away on April 15, 2013, after a long battle with heart disease in Walnut Creek, California.
He is survived by his loving companion, Patty, son Steve, daughters Lisa and Linda, son-in-law Bob, cousin Bobby Weber, long-time friends Jack Brown and Bob Ramirez all of San Bernardino.
Fred retired in 1991 as Police Chief in Clayton, CA. He had a 31-year career in law enforcement and was also an Army veteran. Most notably, Fred was honored and recognized in solving two cold case murders in San Bernardino in the 60's, and a double murder in Grand Junction, CO in the 70's. Fred’s diligence in the evidence he collected at the scene made it possible for DNA matching. He can truly rest in peace knowing justice has been served, and the murderers are serving life sentences.
