FRED EARL MOTSCHMAN's Obituary
Fred E. Motschman, a San Bernardino native and Crestline resident, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Son of late Elmer G. and Bernice (Briggs) Motschman. He was born April 10, 1933 in San Bernardino. Fred graduated from San Bernardino High School Class of 1952. Fred was honored to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, he was stationed in Germany from 1953 – 1955. Fred married Bonnie J. Stokes on March 26, 1955 in the St. George, UT, LDS Temple. Fred was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked for many years as a Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman, most recently working for BevAir Mechanical. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie of Crestline; seven children and their spouses, Joyce Lemmon of Vacaville; Jennie and Jim Wilson of Las Vegas, NV; Fred Motschman of Victorville; Caryn and Darrel Powers of Cartersville, GA; Caryl and Bart Hisel of Tyler, TX; Julie and Bruce Nix of Albany, GA; Tim and Linda Motschman of Superior, WI; 21 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Shirley and Robert Goodman of Las Vegas, NV; Patricia Fryer of Littleton, NH; brother in law Gary Stokes of Winachi, WA; Ray Stokes of Star, ID; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, 3860 N. Waterman Ave., San Bernardino with Bishop Robert K. Birkett, conducting. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:15 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, staging area #2.
