Mr. Frank Lee's Obituary
Frank Lee was born on May 24, 1934, on Red Fish Point, (now Tyndall Air Force Base), Bay County, Florida to James Jim Lee and Lady Florence Lone Lee; the youngest of their thirteen children and the tenth son born to Pa Jim and Lady Florence. He was educated in the public schools of Bay County, FL at the Historic African American Community School on Red Fish Point; Rosenwald High School, Panama City, FL and Lincoln High school, Tallahassee, FL.
Frank retired honorably, after serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. During his service he was awarded: Small Arms Expert Marksmanship ribbon, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Air Force Conduct Medal. His primary duty was as a clinical and histopathology technician. His excellent skills and abilities in his profession were rewarded by being assigned the responsibility train officers in laboratory procedures. He was also double promoted at times, due to his exceptional ability in this field.
After his military career, Frank served as both Communicable Disease Investigator and Deputy Coroner for San Bernardino County. He was a Binational Health Counselor Member and a State Public Health Field Representative.
In his younger adult years, Frank was an excellent pool player and he would hustle individuals by using any broom handle, instead of a pool cue to beat them. He enjoyed golfing and playing pinochle. His greatest joy, however, was fishing; especially teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed going to the family reunions in Florida. He would travel with his young family from San Bernardino, CA to Panama City, FL non-stop.
Frank had numerous jokes and quips which he frequently recited. One of his favorites for his eldest son was “If conceit was concise, you would be consumed.”
