Frank J Bott's Obituary
Frank Joseph Bott, M.D., age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Born July 23, 1932, in Danville, Illinois, he was the son of Frank F. and Margaret W. Bott. He married Jacqueline Lawrence in 1960, and together they raised seven children. His legacy is one of faith, family, and service.
Driven by lifelong aspirations to become a Doctor, he headed to Notre Dame, starting his path as a devoted alumnus. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1954. Frank earned his M.D. in 1958 at Northwestern University Medical School, where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Afterward, Frank completed his Internal Medicine Residency and served as a United States Air Force Captain at Castle Air Force Base, California.
Frank settled on the West Coast and joined the San Bernardino Medical Group in 1964. During his 53-year tenure, he skillfully treated patients and supported his colleagues. He served as Chief of Medical Staff at St Bernardine Medical Center in 1978, and was a member of the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and American Academy of Cardiology.
Sports, family events, and traveling with Jackie were activities Frank treasured. He was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church and President of the Inland Empire Notre Dame Club. Whether catching up with his favorite team or listening to a great opera, Frank always found time to answer calls from friends, family, and patients. He volunteered at Carol’s Kitchen for over ten years. Everyone enjoyed his company.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; their children, Tracy (Andy), Kelly (Carlos), Amy (John), Tom (Peggy), Dan (Meagan), and Jim (Kristie); his daughter-in-law, Vicki; and their 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Frank Sr. was preceded in death by his son, Frank Jr.; his brother, Thomas A. Bott.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 10, at 10am at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Community, located at 1234 Palm Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223. Following a private Burial, family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life reception at 12:30pm at The Lodge at Four Seasons at 1518 Four Seasons Circle, Beaumont, CA 92223.
