Francis L. Scott Jr.'s Obituary
Francis Scott, of San Bernardino, CA, passed away on September 7, 2022. Francis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shizuko; Daughter, Rika her husband Evan and their children Alexander, Edward, and Scott; Sister Dorothy; and brother Grant.
Francis graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1959, then went on to join the United States Air Force for the next 29 years. In 1993 he graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Science degree.
After graduating from California State University, San Bernardino, in 1995 Francis worked for the county of Riverside CA. He worked in their Office on Aging for the next 12 years as a Contract/Employment Service Officer.
Known as Spike, he was a member of the elite motorcycle club, The Chosen Few, San Bernardino Chapter, for many years. He joined in 2008 and served two terms as Vice President and in 2019 served one term as President.
Francis had many personal interests over his lifetime including fishing, golfing, Tae Kwon Do, where he reached 2nd degree black belt in 1974, and motorcycle riding.
Francis will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery at a later date. A memorial will be held at the Bobbitt Memorial Chapel on Monday September 26th at 10 am.
