I'm 59 years old and have known Francis almost all of my life, since I was 4 years old. I lived right next door all of my years of growing up. My Mom and Dad were also good friends of Joe and Francis. They were two fantastic people that I will remember forever. Francis gave me my first job cutting their home lawn as well as some duplexs they owned...wow, $20 a month was more money than I knew what to do with. Francis had a dog they loved so much in the 1950's and 60's named "Taffy". Joe and Francis came to my Little League baseball games when they could. Francis worked long hours at the family business of "Wheelin & Dealin" Grocery store. I remember when I was growning up I hit a baseball through their window, and thought they would be mad, but as long as I was doing something fun as baseball, their was no problem. I went and visited Francis at about once a year, and seeing her about 6 months ago, I was surprised how great of a memory she had and how good of a conversation she could carry on. She was involved in many organizations and charitable events and always thinking of others. She will be missed, but will leave many good thoughts in our heads of what the meaning of a "good human" means. She can fianlly be with Joe again.
