FLORIENE J. NEVIUS's Obituary
Floriene J. Nevius, 85, A resident of San Bernardino for over 60 years, she was born on January 28, 1924 and went with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2009 after a short illness with lung and pancreas cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ruth Saunders; brother, Melvin Saunders, Jr.; sisters, Lucille Blakeman and Irene Kinney.
She is survived by her husband, Don; her daughter, Janet Stumpf of Banning; 4 step-daughters, Phyllis Rasmussen of CA, Kathy Wilshusen of AK, Lois Ebel of AK, Patty Privett of WA; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Marchese of Grand Terrace, Evelyn Patrick of Colton as well as many nieces and nephews.
She attended schools in Colton, graduating with the class of 1942.
Floriene retired from 7up Bottling Company after 24 years as their bookkeeper and office manager. She loved to read, embroidery and quilt. She was a member of the Colton Women’s Club and Colton Community Church. She will be missed by her family and friends who loved her so dearly.
Viewing at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton.
