Evelyn Lorraine Hill
Evelyn Lorraine Hill, age 79, of San Bernardino, CA died peacefully on April 8, 2010 with her beloved family by her side. Evelyn, born to Al and Elizabeth Bemis, was a fifth-generation San Bernardino native who graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1948 and San Bernardino Valley College in 1950. In 2001, the latter inducted her into their Alumni Hall of Fame.
Evelyn was a devoted wife and mother and well-known philanthropist-fundraiser who helped garner thousands of dollars for local organizations. Most notably, she founded the San Bernardino Symphony Guild and served as its president for five years. The Guild’s distinguished Service Award bears her name.
Evelyn was also active in the San Bernardino chapters of the Assistance League, National Charity League, and Santa Claus Inc., as well as the Volunteer Center of the Inland Empire and the San Bernardino Scholarship Association.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Edward “Duke” Hill, Jr., and by their three children and five grandchildren. She loved spending time with family, entertaining friends, listening to classical music, dancing, golfing and traveling the globe with her husband of nearly 60 years.

9:00am: Graveside Internment at Rialto Park Cemetery, 150 S. Palm Ave.
11:00am: Memorial Service at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel
