Ethel Anna Steele's Obituary
Ethel Anna Steele (92) a 33 resident Yucca Valley passed away on March 21, 2012 in Redlands, CA. She was a member of the Yucca Valley First Assembly of God, and was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse from her years at Pomona Valley Hospital. Ethel also belonged to the Emblem Club associated with the Yucca Valley B.P.of Elks.
Ethel and her husband who preceded her in death, were parents not only to their own children but also were like second parents to their siblings and foster parents to many other children. Ethel drove forklifts during WWII at Mira Loma Military Supply Depot where she helped supervise Italian POWS during the war. She loved to croet, sew and was the greatest cook in the world, hands down.
Ethel is survived by: daughter, Jessie Ann (Alvin) Fritz; daughter, Victoria (Ted) Aguilar; grandchildren, Terry Ann Hillman, Victoria D’Angelo, Melinda Harris, Jeffrey Fritz, Mark Aguilar, Steven Aguilar; fifteen great grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jesse Terrel Steele, her daughter Erma Nell Orkish, and grandchild, Donald Biggs II, two great grandchildren, Michelle and Timothy.
Visitation will be at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel 1299 E Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 4:00- 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at Pomona Valley Cemetery 502 E Franklin Ave., Pomona, CA 91766 on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM
