I first met Sam about 10 years ago when he joined Knights of Columbus Council 4488. My first impression was that he was a quiet, serious, and like-able individual with very much of a can-do attitude. He quickly rose through the ranks of our council until he became Grand Knight (GK), the top most rank within our council. Then, no sooner had he served his term as GK and within a year he was our District Deputy. Sam was a no-nonsense type of guy and once he set his goals he was off to complete them. Sam will be missed for his leadership and hard work. I didn't know Sam at church as I went to Our Lady of Hope and he attended St. Adelaide. But I'm sure he was strong in his faith as well from all I knew of him in the council. Sam, you have run the good race and now it is time to rest in peace in the joy and peace of Christ Our Lord. Until we meet again. Viva Jesus!
